LOOKING TO IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS AS A SCIENCE COMMUNICATOR?

If you have five or more years of experience as a science communicator, come join other mid-career professionals at SCONC Professional Training Day on Saturday, April 27! 

The event will be held at Sigma Xi/American Scientist (700 Park Offices Drive, Suite 160, RTP, NC 27709).


Agenda:

12–1PM: Networking lunch at Sigma Xi HQ

1–2PM: Mental Health & Burnout with Robert Goldberg, founder of Organization Insight

2:15–3PM: Time Management with Sara Lane, Director of career services within the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at NC State

3–4PM: Small-group discussions on:

  • Writing a Book with Brian Southwell, lead scientist for public understanding of science at RTI International
  • The Art of Networking & LinkedIn with Julia Barzyk, founder of Wise Investigator

4PM: Celebratory happy hour at Boxyard RTP!
