Speaker Bio
Melba Newsome is an award-winning freelance science journalist with more than 20 years of experience. Her investigative work on education, health, and the environment has appeared in leading regional and national publications, including Scientific American, Nature, National Geographic, Science News, and WIRED.
Melba will share insights from her career path, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the craft of freelance science writing and the lessons she’s learned along the way.
